how to cook eggs

There are many ways to cook eggs, but here are a few of our favorites:

Scrambled eggs: Whisk together 2 eggs and a splash of milk. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat, then pour in the eggs. Stir gently until they're cooked to your liking.

Omelet: In a bowl, whisk together 2 eggs and a splash of milk. Pour the mixture into a hot nonstick pan, then let it cook until the bottom is set. Sprinkle your desired fillings on top (sautéed vegetables, cheese, ham, etc.), then fold the omelet in half and let it cook for a few more minutes.

Poached eggs: Bring a pot of water to a gentle simmer and add a splash of vinegar. Break an egg into a small cup or ramekin. Gently lower the cup into the water and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the egg is cooked to your liking. Use a slotted spoon to remove the egg from the water and serve.

sunny side up: Add a tablespoon of butter or oil to a pan over medium-high heat. Crack an egg into the pan and let it cook until the whites are set and the yolk is still runny. Serve immediately.

boiled eggs: Add eggs to boiling water and cook for 6 minutes for medium eggs, or longer for harder eggs. Remove eggs from boiling water with a slotted spoon and serve.

Whether you like them sunny side up, over easy, or hard boiled, there are ways to make your favorite eggs even better. By adding spices like black pepper, chili powder, or smoked paprika, you can add flavor and depth to your eggs. If you like your eggs a little creamy, add a small amount of cream to the pan before cooking. You can also top your eggs with cooked bacon, sausage, or ham for a heartier breakfast.
